The basics

Davita has spent the last decade working in the social sector, scaling solutions through business development, strategic partnerships, and revenue generation, underscored by a passion for coaching, mentorship, and people management.

Most recently, she served as the External Relations Director for Reading Partners’ DC region, where she was charged with leading fundraising strategy, building community engagement solutions, and amplifying the organization’s brand as a thought leader within educational equity. Prior to joining Reading Partners, she directed strategy for a portfolio of nonprofit clients at Elevate, working in areas such as youth development, college access, and workforce readiness. Davita also served as the Partnership Development Director for the digital inclusion nonprofit EveryoneOn and as the Director of Business Development and Consulting for the DC-based food accelerator Union Kitchen, supporting local entrepreneurs from launch to scale.

Davita holds a master’s degree from the SIT Graduate Institute where she specialized in Social Sector Innovation and Management and International Education. Her studies have taken her to Italy, China, and Mexico.

How Davita finds meaning and comes together with others

An avid traveler, nothing makes Davita happier than exploring new places and cultures, making connections by way of dance, hikes, live music, yoga, local markets, and when possible, with her pup Harley at her side.
