Over the past year and a half, UpStart’s network of bold Jewish social entrepreneurs has worked tirelessly to adapt and evolve their offerings to meet our community’s emerging needs–and we’ve been with them every step of the way.
Throughout this challenging time, UpStart doubled down on our efforts to support the ventures and individuals changing the face of Jewish life. While maintaining our flagship offerings such as the Venture Accelerator, the UpStart team launched new opportunities for the training, connections, and strategic investments needed to combat the unique challenges of the pandemic.
Take a look at our 2021 impact brief to get a glimpse into the ways we pivoted our services to address the rapidly evolving needs of our network.
In the last year, we:
- served more social entrepreneurs than the previous year
- increased funding to our alumni network by more than 5x, and
- doubled the number of geographic communities we served.
We are proud of what emerged from this work and the progress we made toward our annual goals. The robust data we gathered shows UpStart’s impact, learnings, and insights into how we’ve driven change across the Jewish communal field.
