Hannah Cohen She/Her

Hannah is a leader and learner and is thankful to have the privilege to work within the Jewish community and help strengthen our ties and Jewish pride. She is excited to be a member of the UCIE and looks forward to getting fully engaged. Hannah worked as a Library/Communications Specialist overseeing 13 school libraries for several years; formed a public affairs consultancy business and specialized in the political arena; she represented non-profits for three decades with emphasis on affordable housing and homelessness and wrote the Plan to End Chronic Homelessness for the City of San Diego. Hannah also managed many local political campaigns. Currently she is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Center for Jewish Culture at the Lawrence Family JCC and also serves of the JCC Board of Directors. Hannah was president of the  Women’s Museum of California and president of Temple Adat Shalom. She is a member of  Hadassah Bat Harim Group Board of Directors and serves as the Advocacy Chairperson. In her spare time, she wrote two books, Remarkable Women of San Diego, and Women Trailblazers of California.
