The basics

Allison comes to UpStart with a professional theatre background. Having worked at many performing arts institutions, she has a passion for collaboration, inclusion, and finding humor in any situation. Her work as a literary manager and dramaturg brings a creative perspective to data and systems.

Allison hails from Beachwood, OH, and attended Knox College in Galesburg, IL, where she majored in Theatre and minored in Religious Studies. She credits her liberal arts education for highlighting the infinite ways in which differing disciplines overlap and strengthen one another. Allison currently resides in Chicago.

How Allison finds meaning and comes together with others

Allison finds meaning in gathering with friends; whether that is to play a nerdy board game, cook a delicious meal together, or be cozy and craft (ask her about her embroidery and cross-stitch!).
